Biography
When I was a little boy the only thing I loved doing was drawing animals, go out in excursion to the countryside, play with sticks, sheets and do my own toys with cardboard. All my friends asked me to do some toys for them too. I had a magical childhood. Now, I only add to that list, drinking a nice vanilla tea and discovering the warmness of a kiss.
Vision of art
1. Choose a work that represents you, describe it in relation to its format and materiality, its relation with time and space, its style and theme; detail its production process.
Chuik-Chuik is one of my favorites. It is a scene of pure love, without restrictions or limits. In regard to materials I do not care if I make simple or complex objects or work one or more materials. What I care is to remember that I am a human being.
2. In general terms, how would you suggest to approach your work?
As Max Gomez Canle said: “I don´t know”
3. In reference to your work and your position in the national and international art fields, what tradition do you recognize yourself in? Who are your contemporary referents? What artists of previous generations are of interest to you?
As my grandfather told me: "Your roots speak for your mouth and hands"
4. Choose works or exhibitions from the last ten or fifteen years which in your opinion were very significant and explain why
The one I remember most is a Japanese art exhibition in Florida Street, Buenos Aires, when I was seven years old. It was perfect. It had everything. That was my first contact with Japan. Twenty years later I had the pleasure of going to Tokyo and find that none of it was gone (neither in them nor in me)
