The House (2012)

SYNOPSIS
The House is a film based on the story "The Abandoned House" by Uruguayan writer Mario Levrero, written in 1970 in the book “The Gladys thinking machine”. The voiceover becomes the thread of the story to move around througth this mythical house in the Tigre Delta, called “La Paquita", built in 1922 by Catalan architects and sculptors, including Joseph Llimoná, Gaudi's disciple.

The film is divided into chapters, showing different places and corners of the house and the surrounding land. Every place seems to be inhabited by strange characters that are studied by a group of people exploring the house, trying to understand these mysterious and bizarre actions.
Text and image complement each other but without a complete sync, and often what you see is a metaphor for the story to be telling.
With the house as the main character, and without the presence of actors, the idea is the viewer to perform a similar procedure happens to read a book, and mentally recreate their own version, into this scenario.
