Vision of art
1. Choose a work that represents you, describe it in relation to its format and materiality, its relation with time and space, its style and theme; detail its production process.
I work in photography in a direct way, with as little intervention on the image as possible; full frames and natural light in open spaces.
The marine environment and its surroundings is the thread that links almost all of my production.
2. In general terms, how would you suggest to approach your work?
Constant changes on a tourist city that triples its population during two summer months, leave very visible traces and produces all sorts of resources. Perhaps the intention is to document these footprints through the ephemeral, graphic, anonymous architecture… and the landscape, that never remains the same.
3. In reference to your work and your position in the national and international art fields, what tradition do you recognize yourself in? Who are your contemporary referents? What artists of previous generations are of interest to you?
Kim Abeles, Diane Arbus, Hugo Ball, Peter Beard, Joseph Beuys, Sophie Calle, Vija Celmins, Bruce Chatwin, Henry Darge, Marcel Duchamp, Howard Finster, Alfred Jarry, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Ray Johnson, Yoko Ono, Martin Parr, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Bernard Plossu, Tibor Kalman, Markus Raetz, Raymond Roussel, Eric Satie, Alfred Wallis, Adolf Wolfie ...
4. Choose works or exhibitions from the last ten or fifteen years which in your opinion were very significant and explain why
Sergio Avello, Alexander Ilzarbe, Marina De Caro, Claudia del Rio Duville Matías, Ana Gallardo, Victor Grippo, Osvaldo Lamborghini, Marcos Lopez, Jorge Macchi, Federico Peralta Ramos, Ataúlfo Pérez Aznar, Oscar Pintor, Edgardo Rudnisky, America Sanchez Edgardo-Antonio Vigo. Why? it is Inexplicable.
